When I started working on Hider, Seeker, Secret Keeper, the second book of the Dukovskaya saga, I knew several things about my new heroine:  
 

I knew she had a pixie cut, a family secret and an axe to grind.

I knew her name was Lana and she was in the Bolshoi's corps de ballet.

 

What I didn't know was what ballet would encompass her story and what would become her signature role. I watched alot of YouTube that day. And when I came across the 1987 Joffrey Ballet's Danse Sacrale, I knew I had found my signature role.

 

Two years later, I finally got the chance to meet not one, but two Chosen One(s) on tour to dance "The Rite of Spring" in the bone-cold of winter.   READ MORE
